Developed the complete visual identity and packaging design, including the album cover, CD packaging, booklet cover, disc labels, sleeves, and all accompanying print materials. As the first-ever commercial recording of the opera, the package establishes the recording’s permanent visual identity across its distribution, promotion, and archival life.

The design translates the opera’s emotional journey into a cohesive visual narrative. Through layered photography, expressive typography, dramatic composition, and a restrained blue color palette, the package explores themes of faith, love, sacrifice, and emotional resilience. The cover combines monumental architecture with crashing waves to symbolize the protagonist’s psychological struggle, while the two CD discs use contrasting ocean imagery to mirror the opera’s progression from hope and intimacy to emotional intensity and tragedy.

By extending a unified visual language across every component of the package, the project transforms the album into an immersive storytelling experience that complements the music while creating a distinctive and memorable identity for Houston Grand Opera’s landmark recording.
